It is the Anointing that destroys the yoke.  It does not subdue the yoke.  It does not avoid the yoke.  It does not minimize the yoke.  The Anointing destroys the yoke.  Like a light that shining in the darkness, the Anointing completely dissipates the yoke.  It is the Anointing that sets the captive free.  The Anointing heals the broken-hearted.  It is only the anointing that gives life to a church or a family.

Messiah (Hebrew) and Christ (Greek) are two ways of saying the Anointed One.  Jesus is the Anointing.  Without Jesus, the yokes remain in full force.  But with Jesus living in our hearts in the power of the Holy Ghost (Christ in us, the hope of glory), we can summon the Anointing in a mere moment of faith, spelling disaster for the yoke.  What we have to do is stir up the gift of God that is within us.  Submit ourselves to God by releasing our affinity for life’s trinkets and concerns and unleash the power of God within us.  The Anointing is Jesus at work.  Will we allow Him to work through us.

As a church we must cultivate intimacy with Jesus, the Anointed One.  We must battle the spiritual forces that oppose the free movement of the Anointing in our lives and especially in our services.  We must be focused on spiritual warfare (2 Cor. 10), arraying ourselves for the battle (Eph. 6).  Let us pray for one another.  Let us seek the face of God.  Let us purify our hearts and minds so that the Anointing can operate in our lives.

Today I watched a YouTube video of the late Sis. Priscilla McGruder singing “From Heaven’s Point of View.”  I copied the link on our Media page.  I wept as I felt the Anointing flow all over me.  Go to the link and watch and listen for yourself.  This illustrates the yoke-destroying moving of the Anointing that we must have at The Pentecostals of Crosby.

Look at my FaceBook page and see the posting that presents Bishop Chester Wright’s message concerning spiritual warfare.  Join me in the fight.  The stakes are too high to stand on the sideline.
